Art Activity Highlights (2018-2022)
~ Institutional Acquisition: Two original artworks, from my "Black Indians of New Orleans" Series were purchased by The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, & Equity at Washington University in St. Louis, MO - January 2022
~ As a 2021 "Award of Excellence" recipient, I will exhibit in the prestigious "Honor Awards 2023" exhibit presented at Art Saint Louis.
~ Art S. Louis "Human Touch" Virtual Art Exhibit (Dec. 2020 - Jan. 2021). Selected as featured artist in this exhibit. Received "Honorable Mention" for Collage Artwork titled: "Seeking Solace in Butterfly Garden".
~ "Award of Excellence" received from Art St. Louis for Mixed-Media collage "Genesis of Hope" featured in the "Humanity" exhibit - 2021
~ Awarded Missouri Art Commission "Artists' Support" grant to produce narrated, DVD featuring my photographic documentation of the Black Indians of New Orleans' Super Sunday Parades and Celebrations. DVD Shown at: University of Missouri St. Louis Women in the Arts Conference; St. Louis Art Museum; Available at Ferguson Library, St. Louis City and County Library Systems, and St. Louis Artists' Guild.
~ Selected, "Artist of the Month", in 2018, by the Missouri Athletic Association's Foundation for the Arts. Solo exhibition included over 25 artworks which were exhibited at both the St. Louis Downtown Club and the West Clubhouse locations.
~ "Orchid's Odyssey", jury selected to be featured in St. Louis Artists' Guild's ""Extracted Abstraction" Exhibition, from July 30-August 28, 2021. www.stlouisartistsguild.org
~ Art Saint Louis: "A Break From the Noise" and "We Love Our Festivals" jury selected to be in the "Ordinary Lives" Exhibit, July 31-Sept. 9, 2021: Free Opening Reception, Saturday, August 7, 2021, 5-7 pm: www.ArtStLouis.org
~ Art St. Louis: Jury selected to exhibit in the "Dreamlife" Virtual art Exhibit (May 1 - July 1, 2021). My entry artwork titled "Still We Rise" "sold" the first week of the exhibit.
~ Art St. Louis: Jury selected to exhibit "Square Root of Hope" mixed-media artwork in the "Hope" Virtual Art Exhibit (Feb-March 2021)
~ Exhibited in Portfolio Gallery & Education Center's 2020 "All Colors" Art Exhibition, at the St.Louis Artists' Guild in Clayton, MO. Invited to exhibit 3 artworks in 2022 "All Colors" exhibit (2021 exhibit was cancelled due to covid virus).
~ Exhibiting artist in The 10th Street Gallery's "Abstract Connections: Near and Far" Exhibit, September- November 2, 2019. 419 N. 10th Street, St. Louis, MO 63101. This exhibit was a celebration of the collection of 81 abstract works, by black artists, being donated to the St. Louis Art Museum by Ronald & Monique Ollie.
~ Exhibited in the 2019, "All Colors" invitational at the Leedy Voulkos Art Center at 2012 Baltimore Ave., Kansas City, MO 64108. October 4, 2019 through November 30, 2019. Presented by Portfolio Gallery & Education Center.
~ Participating artist in an all female artists exhibit "#BlackGirlMagic" at the Hannibal Arts Council Gallery in Hannibal, Missouri. Presented by Portfolio Art Gallery of St. Louis, MO. February 3, 2020 through March 13, 2020. Four of my artworks were selected to be a part of the exhibition.

~ One of 6 Artists invited to exhibit 10 abstract artworks at the 10th Street Art Gallery in downtown St. Louis, MO. in April 2019.
~ The Second Annual, "Junteenth: 40 Acres and a Mule" fundraiser was held at The Griot Museum of Black History in St. Louis, MO. Artworks donated by Marilyn L. Robinson, and several other artists, available for sale and auctioned at the Junteenth Celebration Event in June 2019, 2020, & 2021.
